Networking Session
Tues, 28 Feb 2012, 2:00pm – 3:30pm
We will begin the event by exploring a series of pressing urban issues. Then we will break into small, diverse teams to brainstorm opportunities for future improvement and innovation: “How we make it easier for people to share cars?”, “How can smartphones inspire kids to be more physically active?” The most viable and insightful opportunities will be made available on The Do Good Network’s online forum as challenges and will eventually become topics at the DGN’s Urban Innovation Festival.
The DGN’s Networking event will coincide with the official launch of the Do Good Network (www.thedogood.net) and the announcement of the DGN’s Urban Innovation Festival (Singapore, May-June 2012). The festival will include a series of exhibitions, workshops, and weekend ‘hackathons’ – where people come together from companies, government, NGOs, and the community to hack together new solutions to social and environmental urban challenges. The Do Good Network is an initiative of Newton Circus.
The DGN Networking Event
The LOHAS world covers many sectors of business, but sometimes it’s good to specialise. Group networking brings small, manageable groups of delegates together to interact and inspire.
